What does our school council do?
Our school council is a formal group of pupils made up of children in Key Stage 2 who act as representatives of their classmates. They meet every week with Mrs Low, the School Council Lead, to discuss school issues. It is a brilliant way of representing and contributing to pupil voice in our school. Pupils are elected to represent the views of all pupils, and also to discuss ideas to improve our school.
The School Council help to make decisions about how the school is run and take on projects that support children’s learning and development, such as organising charity events, representing the school at outside events or ensuring the school is environmentally friendly.

The School Council recently had the opportunity to meet with ‘Pentagon Play’, one of the companies helping the school to plan developments to our main playground.
“ The school councillors conducted themselves brilliantly and the gentleman who visited commented on how good they were during the presentation and when testing the equipment. I was really proud of them.”
