Welcome to Year 6J's class page!

 

We have lots of learning ahead and many exciting topics to get stuck into!

 

Key Dates

 

 

Friday 19th December 2025 - Children finish for Christmas break 

 

Tuesday 6th January 2026 - Children return to school after Christmas break

 

Friday 13th February 2026 - Children finish for half term

 

Monday 23rd February 2026 - Children return to school 

 

Homework

Homework and reading books will be sent home on a Thursday to be returned on Wednesday.

 

Uniform

 

All children need to wear full school uniform everyday.

Children are allowed to bring bags/book bags to school.

Water bottles will be taken home every day for cleaning.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL UNIFORM AND BELONGINGS ARE CLEARLY LABELLED.

 

PE

PE is on a Tuesday.

Swimming lessons will be on a Friday. 

Children are to wear school PE kit - blue shorts/trousers and a white t-shirt.

School PE kits are available for purchase from the school office.

Dinners

 

Hot dinners are £2 a day, per child, and payable through the school money app. Children can bring a packed lunch ensuring they follow the healthy school guidelines. 

 

 

Snack

Snack costs 20p per day. The children are responsible for purchasing this at breaktime to help build independence.

  • STEM Check for the primary resource of the day each morning.
Computing
  • Python Coding The software used in computing e.g. trinket, Tina Turtle
  • Weggo Website Design Use basic HTML code to create your own website! Choose a topic of your own and create your own website (just like we did in school).
Wider Curriculum
  • PE with Joe Wicks Your favourite- daily fitness and physical activity session with Joe Wicks. These stream daily at 9am.
  • Chester Zoo Links to virtual zoo, youtube channel and much more.
  • Natural History Museum Why not take a tour of this incredible museum or take part in some of the free activities?
