Welcome Back to Autumn 2
After a very hard-working a exciting first term as Year 6, I hope you have all had a well-deserved rest during half term and are ready to tackle Autumn 2 with resilience and determination!
This term will be full of exciting events as we prepare for Christmas, visit Chester Zoo and even explore Liverpool's hidden war bunker!
Throughout the year, we will work together as a team to explore, investigate and create as we prepare for KS2 SATS and the transition into secondary school.
There is really no time to waste on our learning journey this year to being the very best that we can be...
We have very high expectations of all children in their learning, attitudes and behaviour. All children must meet these expectations as set out in accordance with our school behaviour policy.
Homework and Revision
For the Autumn Term, homework will be sent on Friday and is due in every Tuesday unless otherwise stated. It is vital that children are rehearsing their times tables each night in order to support them with fluency when tackling mathematical problems.
Reading is expected to be done by all children each night, and we ask that their reading diaries are signed and returned to school the following day so that we can ensure children are reading outside of the classroom.
Dinner Money/Snack Money
Fruit is on sale every morning on the KS2 yard at 20p per item.
Mrs Loyden’s famous school dinners are priced at £2.00 per day, or £10.00 for a full week.
Thank you in advance to our families for your continued support with our high expectations of behaviour and attitudes, and we look forward to a very positive and successful year!
