Welcome Back! Autumn Term 2020

A huge welcome back to my wonderful new Year 6 and their families!

I cannot wait to see you all ready and raring to go on Thursday 3rd September. Please remember that children are only permitted to bring themselves, their wonderful smiles, a coat, a water bottle and a lunch box clearly labelled with their name. Other items are not permitted at this time

Hello and welcome back to school! We have been missed very much and I cannot wait for us to get back to all of our exciting learning and memory making together!

Below is some of the information you will need on your return to school, but our main focus is on being your 'Belle Vale Best', achieving our potential and having lots of fun along the way as our new Y6 team!

We are now returning to full school uniform every day. On PE days, children are able to attend school in their PE kits. School tracksuits are now available to purchase from the office.

Please do your best to support your child to attend school on time each day. We have lots of challenging learning to catch up with and there is no time to waste!  If your child is in school, and on time, every day, they can be supported to achieve their potential.

Our target for attendance is 97% for the school year, however if your child is in any way ill or showing any symptoms of COVID-19, then they should not be in school. You must inform the school immediately if your child or anyone in the household has COVID-19 symptoms or has tested positive.

We ask that all children are encouraged to read at home each night. I can't wait to hear what you have all been reading during the Summer!

How we manage reading books during the pandemic will be communicated to parents at the start of the school year, but any reading books taken home will be quarantined when they are returned to school.

Homework is given out each week and is expected to be completed by the date given, which is usually the following Tuesday. This year we will be continuing to use Seesaw for some home learning activities as well as our usual spelling, maths and reading work. Each term children will also have science homework to complete. Look out for any fun, family challenges and projects to complete throughout the year.

Our P.E day is Monday and children are expected to wear PE kits to school on this day. Their P.E kits must consist of a white t-shirt, navy shorts and black pumps or trainers. Children can come into school on this day in a Belle Vale tracksuit which is currently on sale. Please speak to the school office if this is something you would like your child to have.

Dinner/Snack Money

Fruit is on sale every morning on the KS2 yard at 20p per item.

Mrs Loyden’s famous school dinners are priced at £2.00 per day.

Dinner times will be staggered and the dining room cleaned between sittings of different bubbles. . As always, packed lunches must follow our healthy school guidance.

Lunch money should be paid through 'Eduspot.' Please see the link below.

Thank you in advance to our families for your continued support in supporting your children to strive to be their very best and meet our high expectations of behaviour and attitudes.
