Welcome to Year 4!
Staff: Mr McDade and Mrs Tremarco
I hope you have had a lovely time over the summer holidays and I am sure you are now ready to start the new school year, so welcome to Year 4!
I am really looking forward to working together again. I know that we will have a very exciting and productive year. I hope that you enjoy the new challenges and approaches to learning that Year 4 has to offer!
Please don’t hesitate to send me an email if you have any questions before the start of school - email@example.com.
Please make sure your child is in school as much as possible as they will miss out on many important lessons and if their absences are persistent, it could prevent them from reaching their full potential.
However if your child is in any way ill or showing any symptoms of COVID-19, then they should not be in school. You must inform the school immediately if your child or anyone in the household has COVID-19 symptoms or has tested positive.
All children need to wear school uniform every day. There is no requirement for them to be washed any more regularly than usual, but they do need to be kept clean.
Children can only bring a coat, a packed lunch (if necessary) and water bottle to school- they cannot bring bags. Water bottles will be taken home every day for cleaning.
Dinner times will be staggered and the dining room cleaned between sittings of different bubbles. Children who have packed lunch will be eating separately from children having a school dinner. As always packed lunches must follow our healthy school guidance.
Dinner is £2.00 per day or £10.00 for the week and should be paid through 'Eduspot.'
Fruit will still be available for KS2 children on the yard at break time. The cost is 20p for one item of fruit.
Children will still recieve a school reading book that should be read every night at home with an adult. Reading books will be stored for quarantine on return to school.
Please remember that homework is a necessary part of learning. English and Maths homework is due in on a Tuesday unless otherwise stated. Spellings and Timetables are tested every Friday and should be practised throughout the week.
The children will be doing PE on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school and that all items are clearly labelled.
Children will be required to wash their hands regularly throughout the school day, including on their entrance to the building. Please show your children how to wash their hands thoroughly. Children will be reminded about 'Catch it, Bin it, Kill it' policy for sneezes and coughs.
