Welcome to Y1H! I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Summer break. I can't wait to get to know you all this year and have SO much fun learning lots of amazing things.

Year 1 Curriculum Overview 21/22

Attendance

Good attendance is paramount in order for your child to have the best school experience and reach their full potential. With this in mind, please ensure your child attends school as much as possible to avoid them missing any of our exciting lessons and activities this year.

 

Uniforms and Belongings

All children need to wear full school uniform everyday.

Children are now allowed to bring bags/book bags to school.

Water bottles will be taken home every day for cleaning.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL UNIFORM AND BELONGINGS ARE CLEARLY LABELLED.

 

Lunches and Fruit

All Y1 children are entitled to a free school meal and snack at morning break time. Children will also have access to milk for a small fee paid to the office or via ParentPay.

 

PE

Year 1 will have PE on Mondays and Thursdays. Please can all children please attend school in their PE kits, which they will remain in for the whole day. 

 

Hygiene

Children are still encouraged to wash their hands multiple times throughout the day, including in the morning as they first enter the classroom. Please show your children how to wash their hands effectively and ensure they are aware of the importance of hand hygiene.
