We believe our children should be super scientists, so that they can excel in the 21st century world. Science is central to many aspects of life and we need to encourage our pupils to think scientifically about the world in which we live. We are engineering the future! Engineering robots in 2060 will be no problem for Belle Vale Stars!
Science at Belle Vale
The children are taught a balance of scientific knowledge and skills as we encourage them to work scientifically throughout all of our topics. This means that children learn to use a variety of approaches to answer, investigate and importantly wonder about scientific questions.
Through working scientifically, children are encouraged to:
- make observations over time
- seek patterns
- identify, classify and group
- make predictions
- carry out comparative and fair tests and investigations.
