Belle Vale Community Primary School

'Learning Together, Being Our Best'

Welcome to our school website. We are a friendly, ambitious and inclusive school where children always come first. We hope you find all the information you require. Please contact the school office if you need further information or guidance.

PE

As a Healthy School we strive to make our PE and Sport sessions fun and engaging with an increasing element of competition throughout.
We encourage our pupils to be active through energetic PE sessions run by a trained LSSP coach, a Prime Sports Coach and a street dance teacher Miss Wright. In addition to a minimum of 2 hours timetabled PE, our children receive breakfast, lunchtime and afterschool sports clubs.

During the year there will be opportunities for many of our children to take part in level 1, 2 and 3 school games competitions! As we value PE very highly at Belle Vale, I am certain the children will make the most of these opportunities!

The Spirit of the Games Values are an important part of our Thinking Themes timetable.  Each half term there will be a focus on one particular value.  Our Games Values are:

  • Honesty;
  • Passion;
  • Self-belief;
  • Respect;
  • Teamwork and
  • Determination.

These Values currently underpin all of our P.E lessons and we will be promoting these throughout all P.E lessons, all year groups, clubs and competitions this academic year.

Swimming
Each term two year groups will go swimming at the Aquatic Centre in Wavertree.  Year 5 and 6 will go in the Autumn term.  Years 3 and 4 will go during the Spring term and accompanying them will be several Year  6 children who are training to compete in the Liverpool Swimming Gala and Water Polo competitions!

In the Summer term, Years 3 and 2 will be swimming.
Swimming is something we are very take very seriously at Belle Vale which is why children from KS1 and KS2 will going swimming this year. We aim to ensure that all our pupils can swim a minimum of 25meters unaided by the end of Year 6 and we urge parents to support us in this aim and when possible try to take your child swimming outside of school.

Recent Competitions

Dance Competition

This year, the theme of the dance competition was Musicals! Needless to say, our dance troupe delighted and stunned the audience once again with their intricate and complex dancing, teamwork, passion and hard work based around the Lion King. Our troupe came away with an award for 'passion' and a trophy for their 1st place award. Wonderful achievement again! Well done!

Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and ...WIN!

CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing Dodgeball team! They convincingly won their group in the Dodgeball Heats and have now gone on to compete in the City Finals for the third consecutive year!

We are hoping to maintain our City Champions status!
